Twitter:
You can also keep track of late-breaking fire news via the Twitter feeds linked to below.
I've read that if communications are lost at Mount Wilson, not only will TV and radio signals go down, but the shutdown would also prevent communication between the firefighters themselves. I hope they are able to save Mt. Wilson - the firemen need to be able to communicate, and it's a vast understatement to say that we need them to as well.
My prayers go to all our firefighters and their families Their loved ones' courage knows no bounds.
And to the families whose loved ones have fallen, I and so many others send our sympathies for your losses and our love.

I don't know about the huge fire area, but this has just started: Simi Valley is experiencing a definite NORTH wind.
If a NORTH wind is developing at the firs scene, HUGE areas should begin evacuating RIGHT NOW, because there'll be NO way to keep it out of the San Fernando Valley and other areas, and the smoke is going to be horrific!
