December 2010 Archives
About KCET:
We know many of you have questions about KCET's transition to an independent nonprofit television station. While some of the answers are evolving, we do have responses to some basic questions.
About KCET:
On January 1, 2011, KCET will become the largest public television station in the United States, independent of PBS. Rather than a defeat, this decision is an act of financial prudence, courage and confidence in our community. KCET will be financially stronger and in a position to rethink what public media can be in Southern California.
About KCET:
As 2010 comes to a close, I would like to thank you for your loyal support for KCET -- your local public television station. All of us at KCET are looking ahead to a new and exciting future for all of the communities we serve throughout Southern California, as we undergo some big changes that will make KCET the largest independent public television in the country beginning January 2011.
About KCET:
As part of KCET becoming the nation's largest independent public television station on January 1, 2011, we are changing our line-up of digital channels.
About KCET:
As KCET ramps up to becoming the nation's largest independent public television station on 1/1/11, we're giving our on on-air and web identity a refresh. We're thought we'd give our friends on KCET.org, Twitter and Facebook a preview of the new look.
