Supports KCETLink's broadcast and web initiatives through the creation of compelling web experiences.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

•                    Maintain KCET.org site areas

•                    Update and maintenance of KCETLink's elder care site Your Turn to Care

•                    Update and maintenance of the recently launched KCET.org site newsletter

•                    Update and maintenance of Support, About and other non-editorial areas

•                    Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

•                    Two to three years of experience in web, multimedia preferred. 

•                    Bachelor of Arts / Science in Journalism, Arts and Humanities, Communications or related fields, or equivalent experience. 

•                    Prior experience with web content management platforms; experience with Movable Type and Movable Type template tags a plus.

•                    Prior experience maintaining a web blog.

•                    Familiarity with social media management and analysis tools such as Hootsuite, bit.ly and others.

•                    Working knowledge of web video production and editing practices

•                    Knowledge of social media best practices

•                    Must have high attention to detail.

•                    Expert in Photoshop, HTML and video uploading 

•                    Excellent writing, editing and researching skills

•                    Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills 

•                    Must stay current with leading web, multimedia and interactive television technologies. 

•                    Ability to multi-task with accuracy and meet deadlines

•                    Must be able to work well under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.

•                    Excellent interpersonal skills. 

•                    Must be a self-starter, proactive, highly motivated and goal-oriented. 

•                    MAC & PC proficient       

•                    Proficient use of the internet
