JOB SUMMARY
The Junior Web Designer works collaboratively with the KCETLink's New Media team and other company departments to execute site and page designs, create marketing materials such as ad banners, logos or print material, and general help solve design and communication problems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
• Collaborate and work with other designers, developers and producers to generate creative ideas and concepts
• Create and work from UX deliverables including sitemaps, storyboards, and wireframes as well as creative briefs to create innovative design solutions
• Update/augment existing designs and websites, creating new layouts and designs that fit with existing standards
• Design layouts, comps, color studies, and site maps as needed and is responsible for adherence to KCETLink's graphic standards and brand guidelines
• Design creative for online and print, including ads, websites, and other collateral
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• A four year degree in graphic design or similar
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator
• A strong portfolio showing a working knowledge of layout, design, typography, web standards, and user experience
• Experience with HTML and CSS, a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodations. This position reports to the Web Programmer.
