JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for managing media in both a traditional library system and an Avid Isis Central file storage system including routine maintenance of an Avid Isis, NLTek, and Avid Media Composer systems. Some editing of programs and other materials including documentary style editing, news editing, and promotion and segment material.  Other duties may be assigned including Master Control and Ingest operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

Work with producers and production management to organize and prepare

media for editing and also to remove media when a production is complete.

Editing in a non-linear Avid Media Composer environment

Basic maintenance and care of the Avid Isis and Interplay system.

Instructing personnel on the use of the Avid Interplay system

Performs other duties as assigned including shifts in broadcast operations

JOB REQUIREMENTS

5 or more years experience working with Avid Isis, Interplay and Media

Composer.

Experienced in the use of Pebble Beach Automation Systems and Harris

Master Control Systems.

Ability to work under extreme pressure at a fast pace and interact well with

producers

Attitude and self-motivation are extremely important.

Must be willing to join the union: I.A.T.S.E. 695.
