Nikol Hasler
Associate Producer, Digital
nhasler@kcet.org
Former Midwesterner and current mother of three, Nikol comes to KCETLink with a background in video production, journalism, comedy writing, and non-profit work. Her non-fiction book won the 2010 Young Adult's Reluctant Reader's Award, and she has spoken at Yale, New York Women In Film, and various medical schools. When she's not working on side projects related to foster children, or home in her kitchen making pickles, she's out enjoying L.A.'s hiking and nightlife scenes equally. She's never met a hamburger she hasn't wanted to marry, and she loves what you've done with your hair.

Drew Mackie
Associate Producer
dmackie@kcet.org
Drew Mackie, liked shows about old British people before it became fashionable to do so. Ahem. A graduate of UCSB, he's been writing about pop culture for various SoCal outlets for more than a decade. Once he saw Julia Child eating in Santa Barbara, and it was one of the happiest moments of his life.

Katherine Spiers
Food editor and Associate Producer
kspiers@kcet.org
Prior to joining KCET.org as the food editor, Katherine was a freelancer writing strictly about fun things -- travel, gardens, bars and restaurants -- for publications such as Gourmet, LA Weekly, Budget Travel and the LA Times. Before coming to Los Angeles she was an assistant at the AP bureau in Rome, where most of her time was spent buying batteries and cough drops for the Vatican stringers. Working at KCETLink, creating original content showcasing the best in Southern California eating, is much better.
