May 5, 2011---KCET, independent public media for Southern and Central California, will pre-empt its regularly scheduled programming to air LIVE special news coverage from its distribution partner Al Jazeera of the highly anticipated speech by U.S. President Barack Obama at Ground Zero. The Al Jazeera coverage of this ongoing Osama bin Laden news is exclusive to KCET in the Southern California market. The event is expected to start at approximately 1:30 p.m. ET/10:30 a.m. PT.
