GET READY FOR A NEW DOSE OF DOC MARTIN ALL-NEW SEASON SIX PREMIERES ON KCET FEB. 6 AT 8 PM
KCET will continue to
dedicate its Thursday line-up to all-things Martin Clunes leading into the premiere,
including the debut of two specials "Doc Martin & The Legend of the
Cloutie," and "Doc Martin Revealed."

Nov. 27, 2013 -Southern California audiences will get a new dose of their
favorite British dramedy, DOC MARTIN, starring Martin Clunes, when the all-new Season 6 premieres on KCET onFeb.
6, 2014 at 8 p.m.
KCET will alsodebut several special programs starring the versatile actor leading up to the
big premiere.
One
of the highest-rated regular series on public television in Los Angeles, and
the most popular weekly show on KCET, DOC MARTIN stars Clunes as Doctor Martin
Ellingham, a cranky blood-phobic surgeon-turned-village doctor. His tactless
bedside manner leaves a trail of outraged patients,
angry relatives and frightened dogs behind him in the sleepy village of
Portwenn, England. His love interest, school headmistress
Louisa Glasson, played by Caroline Catz, continues to grapple with Martin's
abrasive personality as she tries to make sense of their new life together with
baby James Henry.
Fortunately, viewers won't have to wait
until February to get their Clunes fix. Beginning
Dec. 5, 2013, every Thursday night KCET will feature programs starring the
popular British actor starting with a DOC MARTIN Season 5 reboot:

predates the series (2003). DOC MARTIN's
character, then called Doctor Bamford,
has had enough of village life and is desperate for distance from inquisitive
Cornish neighbors, so he attempts to buy Tregunnt Farm some miles away.Jan.

Clunes specials, including:

swims with the sea's most enormous and enigmatic creatures. Jan. 9 at 8:46 p.m.
o "Martin Clunes: Lemurs of Madagascar"--Clunes'
urgent plight to save this rare and endearing species. Jan.16 at 8:46 p.m.
o "Martin Clunes: Heavy Horsepower"--Clunes
trains two Clydesdales to work on his farm. He travels to various places where
large work horses are still used, including New Orleans and the famous Budweiser
Clydesdale team. Jan. 23 at 8:46 p.m.
o "Doc Martin Revealed" (premiere)--behind-the-scenes footage from the newest DOC MARTIN Season 6, shot on location in Port Isaac, Cornwall,
England. Viewers get inside access to the actors and crew as they film sequences
on the balcony at Large's Restaurant and in the nearby pub that doubles for the
