KCET Airs a Special Episode of 'Visiting...With Huell Howser' In Tribute to the Late Ann Rutherford

KCET AIRS A SPECIAL EPISODE OF 'VISITING... WITH HUELL HOWSER' IN TRIBUTE TO THE LATE ANN RUTHERFORD 

Southern California's Favorite Host Huell Howser gets up close and personal with two film legends, Ann Rutherford and Anne Jeffreys

Burbank, CA - June 20, 2012 - In tribute to the late Ann Rutherford, KCET, the nation's largest independent public television station, will rebroadcast a special episode of Huell Howser's series, "Visiting... With Huell Howser", which features an interview with Rutherford on Wednesday, June 27 at 7:30 p.m. with a repeat at 12 a.m. The program will include a new introduction by Howser celebrating Rutherford's life.

 

In "The Two Anns," Huell invites the movie legends to the French Garden in downtown L.A, where he goes in depth about their lives and discusses their experiences on the Silver Screen. The three reminisce about Rutherford's and Jeffrey's phenomenal careers in Hollywood.

 

Prior to her film debut, Ann Rutherford began in radio and theater. Rutherford is famously known for her roles in "Gone with the Wind" starring Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh and the "Andy Hardy" series as Mickey Rooney's love interest.

 

Anne Jeffreys, a trained soprano singer, started off her career in the entertainment industry appearing in numerous musical reviews and musicals, including the 1944 Frank Sinatra musical, "Step Lively." Jeffreys is widely recognized for starring in the popular 1950s TV sitcom, "Topper."
