KCET's 'Fine Cut' Series Receives Funding for 15th Season
KCET'S FINE CUT SERIES receives funding FOR 15TH season

Fine Cut features the work of visionary artists and filmmakers attending such SoCal institutions as USC, Idyllwild, UCLA, AFI California Institute for the Arts and Loyola Marymount.
Los Angeles - January 17, 2012 - KCET has announced that Fine Cut - KCET's Festival of Student Film has received support for a 15th season from The Bridges Larson Foundation, a non-profit organization established by producer Jack Larson in memory of director James Bridges. The goal of the foundation is "encouraging excellence in theatre and film" through film school scholarships and grants.
Fine Cut is KCET's annual series that showcases the finest documentaries, comedic, dramatic and animated short films by filmmakers from renowned film schools throughout California. 2012 will mark the 15th annual series on KCET. The films can be seen on air exclusively on KCET and streamed (most in their entirety) at kcet.org/finecut. Bohdan Zachary is the executive producer of the series.
Schools that have participated in the Fine Cut series include: American Film Institute, Art Center College of Design, California Institute of the Arts, Columbia Film School, Idyllwild Arts Academy, Loyola Marymount, UCLA and University of Southern California.
