Last night, Artbound was presented with the 1st Place Award for "Entertainment News or Feature" at the 55th Annual Southern California Journalism Awards for our story Date Farmers: Desert Detritus Becomes Chicano Pop Art. Hosted by The Los Angeles Press Club, the awards call attention to the Los Angeles area's fine journalists while promoting excellence in new and emerging media. This award honors the steadfast dedication and hard work of our editorial team, production crew, contributors, and partners. We are excited to continue our multi-award winning coverage of Southern California's unique narrative of arts and culture.
Judge's comments:
"Well-edited, good use of music, mix of interviews and visuals to tell the story."
