First time director Dustin Hoffman joined KCET Cinema Series host Pete Hammond at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences after the screening of his film "Quartet."
About the film:
Quartet marks the directorial debut of Academy Award winning actor Dustin Hoffman. The film centers around residences of the Beecham House, a home for retired opera singers. Every year on Giuseppe Verdi's birthday, the residents unite to perform a concert together as a fund-raiser for the retirement home. The film features an all-star cast led by Dame Maggie Smith with Billy Connolly, Michael Gambon, and Pauline Collins.
