About the film:
Linda Sinclair (Julianne Moore) is a forty-year-old high school English teacher living in a small town in Pennsylvania with two Siamese cats and her rich collection of great literature. Her orderly world suddenly is disrupted when her star pupil Jason returns from New York City without fulfilling his dream of becoming a famous playwright. Jason's domineering father (Greg Kinnear) wants him to go to Law School and forget his pipedream of the theatre, but Linda takes the bold leap and breaks out of her comfort zone to collaborate with the flamboyant drama teacher (Nathan Lane) to produce Jason's play.
