The KCET Cinema Series continued with a screening of "The Impossible" at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in North Hollywood. The film was followed by a Q&A with Ewan McGregor, the star of the film.
About the film:
This English language Spanish drama from director Juan Antonia Bayona is based on the true-life circumstances of the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami that killed an estimated 280,000 people in 14 different countries. Specifically, the film focuses on a family of British tourists that were separated from each other when the tsunami hit their beach resort in Thailand on December 26.
