Stanley Rubin, producer of the James Coburn starring film "The President's Analyst," joined KCET Cinema Series host Pete Hammond at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for an intimate Q&A.
About the film:
This 1967 satirical comedy was written and directed by Theodore J. Flicker with a musical score provided by the legendary Lalo Schifrin. The film's star, Academy Award-winning actor James Coburn, is Dr. Sidney Schaefer, a psychiatrist chosen by the U.S. Government to act as the President's top-secret psychoanalyst. The film is a mix of political satire, science fiction, and resembles the popular spy spoofs of the 1960's.
