Audio Q&A: 'Great Escape' with Steven Jay Rubin

This week's film was the fabulously restored and remastered 50th Anniversary edition of "The Great Escape." Presented by our generous sponsors The James and Paula Coburn Foundation, the film stars James Coburn alongside Steve McQueen, James Garner, Richard Attenborough, and Charles Bronson. Our Q&A guest was author and filmmaker Steven Jay Rubin, who produced and directed the documentary "Return to the Great Escape" in 1993. He discusses everything from the staging of the iconic motor cycle ride, the politics of making a World War 2 film in 1963, and how Coburn and James Garner had to step up to stop McQueen from walking out on the film after viewing the rushes for the first time.
