On December 9, the KCET Cinema Series screened the charming comedy, "Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks," based on Richard Alfieri's internationally acclaimed stage production.

Directed by Arthur Allan Seidelman, the film features veteran actor, Gena Rowlands as formidable retired woman Lily Harrison, alongside Cheyenne Jackson as sharp dance instructor Michael Minetti, whose initial antagonistic relationship develops into a genuine friendship. Both Richard and Arthur joined KCET Cinema Series host Pete Hammond for a post Q&A conversation about the film. They discussed the inspiration of the story as well as the process of adapting a play into a major motion picture.
