Q&A: 'Woman in Gold' with Simon Curtis
Warner Bros' "Woman in Gold" played to a full house of eager Helen Mirren fans.
The film is based on the true life-story of Maria Altmann and chronicles her quest to reclaim the Gustav Klimt iconic portrait of her aunt, Adele Bloch-Bauer I, which was seized by the Nazis in Vienna just prior to World War II. With the help of a young California lawyer E. Randol Schoenberg, Altmann ultimately is able to retrieve her family's precious artwork, but most importantly, has redemption for the atrocities brought on to her family by the Nazis. Director Simon Curtis (My Week with Marilyn) and the real-life lawyer Randy Schoenberg joined host Pete Hammond for a dynamic post-screening Q&A.
