'Magic at Belle Isle' Podcast with Director Rob Reiner
on June 6, 2012 3:12 PM

KCET's quarterly screening series returned for the summer at the Aero Theater in Santa Monica. The KCET Cinema Series gives moviegoers a chance to watch films before their local release, and last night, audience members enjoyed an early screening of Rob Reiner's newest film, "Magic at Belle Isle."
More about the film:
Freeman plays Monte Wildhorn, a famous Western novelist whose struggle with alcoholism has sapped his passion for writing. He takes a lakeside cabin in the picturesque Belle Isle, and befriends the family next door, an attractive single mom (Virginia Madsen) and her young daughters - who help him reignite his passion for writing.
The film was followed by a Q&A with director Rob Reiner. Host Pete Hammond ask the director about the kind of movies that are produced in Hollywood, "Spinal Tap" and his earlier work, and working with Morgan Freeman.
