At last night's KCET Cinema Series event, the classic James Coburn film "Waterhole #3" was screened thanks to the support of one of the presenting sponsors, the James and Paula Coburn Foundation.
About the film:
Wanted! He's a skunk, a varmint, a louse, a girlnapper. But what are you gonna do folks? He's the hero! James Coburn stars in this hilarious comedy western, one of his first big starring roles for Paramount in 1967. James Whitmore, Carroll O'Connor, Joan Blondell, Bruce Dern and the wonderful new screen presence of Margaret Blye light up the screen in a movie that rocked the code of the west with big laughs and a battle of the sexes.
After the screening, host Pete Hammond led a Q&A with the co-star of the film, Margaret Blye. Blye talked about how it was to work with Coburn, how she got the part, riding horses, some history about the Paramount lot, and more!
