Get Season Passes for the 2013 Fall KCET Cinema Series

The fall KCET Cinema Series will begin August 20 and run through October 15 at the historic Aero Theatre in Santa Monica. Screenings are held on Tuesday evenings at 7:00PM hosted by film expert Pete Hammond. It's nine weeks of highly anticipated films, along with engaging dialogue with filmmakers and talent. The presenting sponsor for the series is The Johnny Mercer Foundation, and the series will include a classic Johnny Mercer scored film. Hosted by film critic Pete Hammond, the series features nine highly anticipated prior to their new films before their local theatrical release. Each screening will be followed by a lively Q&A with the filmmakers or talent. The opening night film is "Short Term 12" on August 20th at 7 p.m.: The cast and director Destin Cretton will be in attendance to join Pete Hammond for a lively post-screening Q & A.

A 20-something supervising staff member of a foster care facility navigates the troubled waters of that world alongside her co-worker and longtime boyfriend.
