Q&A with director Nicholas Jarecki and co-star Nate Parker

This week, the KCET Cinema Series brings you the financial crime thriller that took Sundance by storm. Led by a buzz-worthy performance from star Richard Gere as hedge fund tycoon Robert Miller, Nicholas Jarecki's directorial debut "Arbitrage" takes us into the deceptively seductive world of high stakes finance.
Gere's Miller is one of the most successful businessmen in New York City. He just may manage to avoid a Bernie Madoff scale scandal by selling his company in time before his decades worth of unscrupulous financial dealings come to light. And while hiding his shady business practices from his wife (Susan Sarandon) and heiress daughter (Brit Marling) is difficult enough, a deadly accident involving Miller's mistress threatens to all but ensure his family's demise. Also starring Tim Roth and featuring a breakout, rave-reviewed performance from relative newcomer Nate Parker, "Arbitrage" is not one to miss.
Director Nicholas Jarecki and co-star Nate Parker ("The Great Debaters", "Red Tails", recently named one of Variety's Ten Actors to Watch) join host Pete Hammond for a Q&A after the screening!
Don't have season passes? A $20 contribution to KCET's Cinema Series will get you in at the door. Doors open at 6 PM, film starts at 7 PM.
