On March 6th, we'll be presenting Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, an unlikely story about a sheikh and a fisheries scientist. Based on Paul Torday's best-selling novel by the same name, the film stars Ewan McGregor as Dr. Fred Jones, a bored fisheries expert and government worker. Dr. Jones is recruited by Harriet (Emily Blunt), a publicist, to introduce salmon into the waters of Yemen. Add to the plot a benevolent sheikh's love of fishing and a British prime minister's spokesperson (Kristin Scott Thomas) who is hungry for "good news in the Middle East" and you get an unexpectedly touching, romantic comedy-drama.
