Growing up is hard to do, especially after a divorce. On December 6th, 2011, KCET Cinema Series will welcome back director Jason Reitman (Up in the Air) and Award winning screenplay writer Diablo Cody (Juno) with their new movie Young Adult. Mavis Gary (played by Oscar winner Charlize Theron) is a teen literature writer who after a divorce, returns to her small hometown in Minnesota to recapture the heart of her high school sweetheart, Buddy. The fact that Buddy is happily married with kids doesn't stop Mavis from pursuing a delusional dream, even though her prom queen days are long gone.
