Hear, hear! I've been a KCET subscriber and supporter for decades and a member of the PBS Viewer Advisory Group. But it would now appear that KCET has sold out to dangerous corporate interests. In particular, I just saw your "educational" show on ADD/ADHD. This show is clearly financed by Big Pharma, with an interest in promoting their poisons, particularly with an emphasis on prescribing them for children. This growing trend becomes particularly insidious when trusted media outlets such as this station sell out their objectivity to single minded corporate interests. This in not the station that I have supported and it is certainly not what I expect from a quality public television station.
There is one possibility for the station to redeem itself in my view. There are effective and safe non-pharamcerutical alternatives to solving the kinds of problems that Big Pharma has labeled as ADD (along with numerous other labels). If the station were to present some of these solutions, I would gladly renew my membership.
