The San Francisco public station will be the PBS affiliate on the Central Coast. It will now be "our station". There was much about KCET to like, and a fair amount to dislike, not least the arrogance on display come "pledge drive" time and during the recent "hype" by the general manager. How KCET without its PBS backbone is going to be the promised brilliant new experience beggars the imagination. It will be interesting to see how you do "on your own". Good luck. You'll need it...
