Miwa Matreyek is a visual artist who journeys through lighted animated landscapes to create a surreal experience. She performs as a shadow with her hair tied back revealing prominent bangs. She floats through urban skylines and oceanic dreams as a starry sky revolves in the background.

This performance at the Hammer Museum is a continuation of her Myth and Infrastructure series. The performance is also part of the FLUX Screening Series at the museum and will also feature the short films Crooked Arms by Brett Simon and Loved on Land, Hated on Water by Vincent Haycock. Video directors Tom Kuntz, Skinny and Daniels will speak at the event as well.
