Val Zavala, the SoCal Connected anchor and vice president of news and public affairs at KCET, and Joel Grover, an investigative reporter for KNBC, will be honored with the Bill Stout Memorial Award for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism.
The award is presented by Community Advocates Inc. Also participating in the evening will be KCET's own Madeleine Brand, as well as KNBC's Fritz Coleman and Judy Muller of USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism. A reception will be held after the award presentation.
