One of the significant issues facing California voters this election is how education and other programs and services should be funded. This panel discussion will examine the pros and cons of the upcoming ballot tax initiatives:

Proposition 30: Temporary Taxes to Fund Education
Proposition 31: State Budget
Proposition 38: Tax to Fund Education and Early Childhood Programs
Proposition 39: Tax Treatment for Multistate Businesses

The panelists include Steven Wallace of UCLA School of Public Health, Tom Carson of the League of Women Voters of Los Angeles, and Karen Lincoln of USC School of Social Work. KCET's own SoCal Connected anchor Val Zavala will moderate.
