Beginning on Thursday and running through the weekend, Shriekfest is the long-running horror / sci-fi film festival from actress Denise Gossett. The event focuses on smaller films from largely independent production companies, each with a spookiness to them. In addition, they'll be finalizing their ongoing screenplay competition, with prizes and recognition in several different genres and categories. Purchasing the festival pass gets you access to every screening as well as the opening night party, or you can attend the party separately for $10.
