You may not have the means or the energy to completely forgo water for your lawn or garden, but there are certainly things you can do to lessen your environmental impact - particularly when it comes to water and runoff. By properly maintaining open street-side lawns, parkways and other largely forgotten spaces, we can all help to control the flow of costly water and keep a leash on the sorts of stagnant water issues that can lead to serious health issues down the road. This free event featuring environmentalist and author Emily Green focuses on the most effective and do-able ways to maintain a more symbiotic balance with our ecosystem.
