The fine folks at Grow Native Nursery in the Veterans Garden are continuing their fruit trees and small orchards workshop series. However, this week's workshop will be much more hands-on, as participants will work with master gardener Herb Machleder to prune the on-site orchard itself. Along the way, Machleder will teach those in attendance about proper technique and care when pruning both young and old trees, using a variety of provided pruners, loopers and handsaws. As always, the workshops are free of charge.
