The new L.A. Grand Ensemble debuts at the Library Foundation's Aloud series, performing what's billed as "a visual concert."

From the Aloud website:

In this public premiere, the newly created LA Grand Ensemble, directed by composer Juan Colomer, under the baton of Maestro Ignazio Terrasi (assistant conductor, LA Opera), blends theatrical and visual elements with classical music -- performed by musicians from the LA Opera and The Colburn School -- offering a classical music experience that is truly contemporary.
The ensemble will perform selections by Shostakovich, Colomer and Mahler.
