The Grow Native Nursery in Veterans Garden is back with another Saturday morning workshop for longtime growers and aspiring gardeners alike. This Organic Pest Control workshop is the first is an ongoing free series for local fruit tree growers, with more than two hours of hand-on lessons and discussions concerning pests for all varieties of fruit trees. The host, Herb Machleder is a Certified Master Gardener who now serves in a variety of capacities across the UC school system. And, in the coming weeks, Machleder will be focusing on different aspects of fruit tree growth and maintenance.
