Marc Bamuthi Joseph presents this multidisciplinary performance combining music, dance, spoken word, video and environmental activism.
From the REDCAT website:
Alpert Award-winning theater artist Marc Bamuthi Joseph's soul-stirring performance draws on hip-hop's interdisciplinary foundations to create a kaleidescopic investigation of collective responsibility in an era of climate change. Within an evolving modular stage set-cum-art installation--an interactive shotgun cabin constructed from reclaimed materials by celebrated visual artist Theaster Gates--Bamuthi and his performers deliver powerful verse and impassioned songs that examine notions of "living green," and what that might mean to communities under social and economic duress. The production is directed by Michael John Garces and also stars Tommy Shepherd, Traci Tolmaire and Yaw.
