The Cinefamily marks the 30th anniversary of Muppets creator Jim Henson's dark, ambitious fantasy The Dark Crystal with a screening of the film, which tells the story of a young elfin boy on a quest to find a shard of a magic crystal and free his people.
From the Cinefamily website:
The Dark Crystal's entrancingly-realized universe, courtesy of renowned conceptual artist Brian Froud, bursts at the seams with impossibly rich detail, remaining an absolute high point in the Henson universe. Oh, yes -- and did we forget to mention that it's one of the most double-über-awesome movies we've ever shown? The film is co-directed by Frank Oz. Running time is 93 minutes.
