The Natural History Museum celebrates its centennial with another season of its popular First Fridays event, which combines cutting-edge science lectures and live music from up-and-coming indie artists. The season will explore the greatest discoveries of the past 100 years and what we can expect in the next century.
The schedule so far:
- Jan. 4: Dr. Kirk Johnson with music from Lord Huron and Wildcat Wildcat
- Feb. 1: Mary Roach with music by Adventure Time and the Gaslamp Killer
- March 1: Dr. Lucy Jones with music by the Babies and Allah-Las
- April 5: Sam Kean with music by Japanther and Dan Deacon
- May 3: Dr. Sean B. Carroll with music by Helado Negro and Javelin
- Sunday, June 9: Dr. Adam Steltzner (music TBA)
