Help send in the Year of the Snake in downtown's Chinatown neighborhood. The 114th annual affair will be rocking all weekend long, with the Golden Dragon Parade hitting the streets from 1pm - 3pm on Saturday. Mayor Villaraigosa, LAPD chief Charlie Beck, Sherriff Lee Baca and other notables will be in attendance to help welcome in the Chinese New Year, and both days will feature an array of cultural dance troupes, demonstrations, music and a craft beer garden for the adults.
