Long before the internet, there were handmade magazines and newsletters that circulated through mailboxes all over the world. With the rise of computing, much of this work has gone digital, but that hasn't stopped a hardened group of creators from generating thousands of pages of work every year. The L.A. Zine Fest seeks to celebrate these intrepid minds with a day-long festival on Melrose. There will be exhibitors at the Ukrainian Cultural Center adjacent to Los Angeles City College, panels inside the Moth Theater and readable content at HRLDRY across the street.
