The Mark Taper Forum hosts a new play by Nina Raine in which a deaf man confronts his family about their own failures in communication.
Why hasn't a deaf man and his family ever learned sign language? This is the central question in this boisterous production by award-winning director David Cromer, which uses sound design and projections to simulate the confusion and mis-communication that results from hearing loss.
Performances run Tues-Friday at 8pm; Saturdays 2:30pm, 8pm; Sundays 1pm, 6:30pm
The show closes April 14. For more information, visit Center Theatre Group's website.
For those who like to be right up in the middle of the action, on-stage seating is also available for $20.
