Whittier is generally known for its seriously suburban landscape, with manicured lawns and lots of early evening yawning. But the sleepy city just to the southeast of downtown Los Angeles has awoken in recent years with a boom of upscale eateries and craft beer destinations. To celebrate the recent tradition of eating well in Whittier, the community has cooked up a Chef Crawl, which will celebrate the best of everything that's on offer. The three hour crawl will let participants pop along a predetermined route for bites from eight different restaurants, including Bizzara Capital, Ciao Italia Ristorante and The Bottle Room, long a home for great craft beer in the area.
