Poet and L.A. native Mike Sonksen leads these neighborhood tours exploring the culture, history and architecture of the city's forgotten and hidden gems. This installment will tour Atwater Village.
From the event website:
Named for its close proximity to the Los Angeles River, Atwater Village originally began as a part of Rancho San Rafael. In subsequent decades, the city has transformed from Spanish-style houses and bungalows to the red cars of the Pacific Electric Railway to today's landscape of freeways and buses.
