Poet and L.A. native Mike Sonksen leads these neighborhood tours exploring the culture, history and architecture of the city's forgotten and hidden gems. This installment will tour Glassel Park.
From the event website:
Glassell Park is located in a hilly region off Los Angeles, sure to provide an invigorating Urban Hike and spectacular views of the city. Today, the city is rediscovering its history from the Verdugo era and developing several housing units built with Spanish-Colonial influences. Glassell Park is also home to the historical road of trade between Verdugo Rancho and the fledging Pueblo of Los Angeles, which historically met up the San Fernando Road, an intersection of material and cultural trade.Tours run 60-90 minutes.
