Long Beach's Summer and Music concert series culminates with this festival celebrating local artists. Now in its fifth year, BuskerFest will feature 12 regional bands performing on four stages set up on flatbed trucks with minimal gear. The low-tech vibe is intended to pay homage to the tradition of street corner musicians and their focus on connecting with the audience.

Attendees will also receive wooden nickels with which they can tip their favorite act; the act to collect the most nickels will win a prize package designed to help further their career.

Other attractions include food vendors, a beer garden and a free bike valet. The festival runs until 11 p.m. For more information, go to the BuskerFest website.
