The Griffith Park Lecture Series hosts a panel discussion about the park's native wildlife and how animals such as mountain lions (one does live in the park), snakes and deer have managed to survive in the urban wilderness.

The panelists are Dan Cooper, a Harvard-trained biologist and the scientist director of the Griffith Park Natural History Survey; Miguel Ordeñana, wildlife biologist and lead gallery interpreter at the Natural History Museum; and Erin Boydston, research ecologist for the USGS Western Ecological Research Center.
