The New School of Cooking, Culver City's latest high end Culinary and Pastry Arts certification program, is opening their doors for a few preview nights to get prospective attendees a look at their inner workings. The New School's full time six-month program seeks to mimic the fast-paced environment of working in a kitchen, focusing more on basic cooking skills and less on culinary theory. The showcases will feature demonstrations and even offer cooked samples to anyone looking to get a glimpse of the program, which bills itself as a cost-effective alternative to longer culinary schools.
