Celebrating its 91st anniversary, the L.A. County Fair returns with 487 acres of live music, themed attractions, kid-friendly fun, over-the-top foods, shopping and more.
New attractions this year include Star Trek: The Exhibition, Beneath the Sea: An Underwater Adventure, Pencils 2 Pixels: The Art of Animation, and Mysteries of the Amazon.
Edible highlights include a 6-foot-long pizza, deep-fried red velvet and the mysterious spaghetti ice cream. (Is it ice cream that tastes like spaghetti or spaghetti that tastes like ice cream? Only one way to find out.)
For opening weekend, the fair runs 3 p.m.-midnight on Friday, 10 a.m.-midnight on Saturday and Sunday, and 10 a.m.-10 p.m. on Monday. The fair will then be open Wednesday through Sunday from Sept. 4 to Sept. 29. For more information, go to the fair website.
