The Los Angeles Visionaries Assoc. holds its 27th Sunday Salon, a monthly series featuring formal presentations and opportunities to meet and connect with creative-minded folk.
This installment features two 45-minute presentations: Paul Nugent will give a brief history of the Aetherius Society, "the spiritual organization which was brought to Los Angeles by Yoga Master and extraterrestrial contactee Dr. George King in 1959, as part of his mission to help humanity raise itself from universal suffering and ignorance." Carlton Davis, the creator and curator of the 1980s micro-gallery the Art Dock, will discuss the history, present and future of the Arts District in downtown L.A.
The salon will be held at Les Noces du Figaro, a new cafe in the former Schaber's Cafeteria (pictured). A walking tour of South Broadway will follow the salon. For more information, go to the LAVA website.
