In celebration of Los Angeles' 232nd birthday, a group of modern-day pobladores will follow the historic route taken by the city's founders back in September 1781.

Walkers will meet at the San Gabriel Mission at 6 a.m., and a bicycle contingent will follow at 7 a.m. (helmets are required for the ride). The route ends at El Pueblo Historical Monument in downtown L.A., where a celebration will feature cake, music, children's activities and tree giveaways.
