Returning for its fifth year, the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride offers a fright-filled 25-minute trek through grisly encounters with ghosts, ghouls and demons, with a back story inspired by local history.

The event also includes a dark maze (with only a low-voltage lantern to guide groups) and a freaky side show with a house of mirrors, live shows of disturbia, a "scary-go-round," photo opportunities, food and drink, merchandise, and more.

The event runs until 10 p.m. on Thursday and Sunday (and the Wednesday before Halloween) and midnight on Friday and Saturday. For more information, go to the LAHH website.
